Job summary

City of Ann Arbor is seeking an AmeriCorps Member for the Ann Arbor Climate Corps to help advance the A2ZERO carbon neutrality plan. You will engage residents, develop outreach materials, and support OSI planning and events under supervision.

The role emphasizes communication, data collection, and collaboration with the Office of Sustainability & Innovations to educate and mobilize community action across neighborhoods.

Qualifications

• Have or will obtain the diploma/GED.
• Be 18 years or older at start of service.
• Pass a National Service Criminal History Check.
• Hold US citizen, US national, or Lawful Permanent Resident status.

Responsibilities

• Develop training resources and outreach systems to support OSI programming.
• Assist staff in preparing materials for distribution at events and in media content.
• Conduct direct outreach to educate residents and businesses about climate actions.
• Plan and attend sustainability events like forums, Earth Day, and Local Food Festival.
• Administer surveys to measure impact of activities and programs.
• Support additional OSI programming to meet environmental goals.
