Job summary

City of Ann Arbor seeks AmeriCorps members for the Ann Arbor Climate Corps, part of the OSI program, to support neighborhood decarbonization and resilience-building initiatives. Members join the A 2 ZERO effort to advance strategic objectives set by OSI and collaborate with Energy, Circularity, and Engagement teams.

Qualifications

• Have or will obtain the diploma/GED.
• Be 18 years or older at the start of service (no upper age limit).
• Pass a National Service Criminal History Check.
• Hold one of the following citizenship statuses: US citizen, US national, or Lawful Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Develop training resources and outreach to assist OSI's A 2 ZERO Community Collaborators.
• Prepare materials for distribution at events, outreach materials, brochures, social media content, and videos.
• Educate residents and businesses on energy, environmental, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Plan and attend annual events such as Sustainability Forums and Earth Day.
• Administer surveys to measure impact of member activities and OSI programs.
• Support additional OSI programming to meet environmental goals.
• Participate in AmeriCorps Service Days and events with the Michigan Community Service Commission.
