Job summary

Conservation Corps Minnesota & Iowa is seeking Urban and Community Forestry Placements across multiple Minnesota sites for AmeriCorps members. Participants will learn hands-on forest management, tree inventories, silviculture, and public outreach while supervised by CCMI staff and site partners.

Service runs January–December 2027, with a 1700-hour term, housing not provided. Benefits include a living allowance, health insurance, and an education award upon completion.

Qualifications

Strong communication and ability to engage landowners and community members.
Willingness to learn and adapt to changing plans and weather conditions.
Commitment to completing the full AmeriCorps term and CCMI mission.

Responsibilities

Complete service projects safely and efficiently for hosts and community.
Conduct field surveys, collect data, and report findings.
Engage with landowners and the public for outreach and education.
Maintain safety, follow regulations, and document timecards on time.
Travel regionally as needed for project work and training.
