Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions in Indianapolis operates a fully climate-controlled facility and is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Full and complete understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and PLC troubleshooting.
• Prefer Electrician's License, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery.
• Replaces or repairs parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches and other electrical parts and equipment.
• Observes and listens to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfection.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Initiates purchase order for parts and machines, lubricates, and cleans parts, start devices to test their performance.
• Participates in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours as required.
• Follows all safety rules and procedures and observes the operations to ensure a safe environment.
