Job summary

Herc Rentals is hiring a Portable Climate Solutions Setup Technician to safely deliver, install, and remove equipment at customer jobsites. You will ensure equipment is clean, organized, and ready to rent while maintaining high safety standards.

You will use iPads and laptops for documentation, coordinate with Sales and internal teams, and provide White Glove customer service. The role requires physical ability and flexibility for on‑call shifts.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of work experience with mechanical/technical skills.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily delivery and pickup schedule based on business needs.
• Prepare and stage rental equipment for shipment.
• Communicate professionally with customers, sales, and internal teams.
• Maintain tools and supplies to complete projects.
• Document daily notes, labor logs, and change orders with mobile devices.
• Safely drive and load/unload box trucks and vans.
• Work overtime and be on call as required.
• Attend all required training sessions.
