Job summary

Family Support Services in Largo, Florida seeks an experienced accounting specialist to coordinate and monitor Social Security and related benefits for children. You will process transactions, maintain records, and collaborate with case management, GALs, attorneys, and others to safeguard the financial well-being of the children.

Must have an Associates in Accounting and at least one year of experience; a valid driver’s license; and the ability to pass background checks and maintain

Qualifications

Associates degree in Accounting preferred.
One-year accounting or child welfare experience required.
Clear Level II Background screening required.
Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and process Social Security benefits and related payments.
Prepare journal entries and maintain client documentation.
Complete SSA forms accurately and respond to audits.
Provide training to staff and support case management.
Assist with audits by providing requested documents.
Perform other duties as assigned.
