Job summary

PruittHealth Coastal Central is seeking a Client Transportation Aide CNA to ensure safe, timely transport of patients to appointments, therapies, and activities.

You will assist with entering/exiting vehicles, provide ADL support, and maintain logs and cleanliness while following infection-control standards and coordinating with the care team. This role emphasizes empathy, safety, and excellent service in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients and residents to medical appointments, treatments, and approved outings.
• Assist individuals entering and exiting vehicles using proper lifting, transfer, and mobility techniques.
• Deliver hands-on CNA support including ADLs, personal care, and ambulation as needed.
• Maintain a positive, welcoming, and caring environment during all transport interactions.
• Complete transportation logs, mileage documentation, and schedules accurately and on time.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety for all transport vehicles.
• Demonstrate adherence to infection control, safety regulations, and PruittHealth policies.
• Partner closely with nursing and administrative teams to coordinate smooth transport operations.

JOB PURPOSE:

As a Transportation Aide / Certified Nursing Assistant at PruittHealth Coastal Central, you will play an essential role in ensuring our patients and residents receive safe, timely, and supportive transportation to appointments, therapies, and activities. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• High School diploma or GED

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)

• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record -Motor Vehicle Record is required as part of pre‑employment.
• 1 year of experience in skilled nursing, senior living, home health, or patient transportation
• Familiarity with wheelchair lifts, securements, and mobility devices
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients safely
• Excellent communication and service skills
