Job summary

PruittHealth Coastal Central in Gainesville, GA seeks a Transportation Aide / CNA to safely transport patients to appointments and therapies, assist with transfers and ADLs, and uphold a compassionate, welcoming environment during all transport interactions.

You will complete transport logs, coordinate with nursing staff, and adhere to infection control and safety guidelines. A high school diploma or GED and CPR certification are required, along with a valid driver’s license and a clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety for all transport vehicles.
• Demonstrate adherence to infection control, safety regulations, and PruittHealth policies.
• Partner closely with nursing and administrative teams to coordinate smooth transport operations.

JOB PURPOSE:

As a Transportation Aide / Certified Nursing Assistant at PruittHealth Coastal Central, you will play an essential role in ensuring our patients and residents receive safe, timely, and supportive transportation to appointments, therapies, and activities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely transport patients and residents to medical appointments, treatments, and approved outings
• Assist individuals entering and exiting vehicles using proper lifting, transfer, and mobility techniques

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record -Motor Vehicle Record is required as part of pre-employment.
• 1 year of experience in skilled nursing, senior living, home health, or patient transportation
• Familiarity with wheelchair lifts, securements, and mobility devices
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients safely
• Excellent communication and service skills
