Job summary

PruittHealth Coastal Central is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant Transportation Aide to safely transport patients to appointments and therapies while assisting with ADLs and mobility. The role supports nursing and administrative teams to ensure smooth transport operations in a healthcare setting.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification or the ability to obtain it, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• 1 year of experience in skilled nursing, senior living, home health, or patient transportation.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record; MVRS check required.
• Familiarity with wheelchair lifts, securements, and mobility devices.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients safely.
• Excellent communication and service skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients and residents to medical appointments, treatments, and approved outings.
• Assist individuals entering and exiting vehicles using proper lifting, transfer, and mobility techniques.
• Deliver hands-on CNA support including ADLs, personal care, and ambulation as needed.
• Maintain a positive, welcoming, and caring environment during all transport interactions.
• Complete transportation logs, mileage documentation, and schedules accurately and on time.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety for all transport vehicles.
• Demonstrate adherence to infection control, safety regulations, and PruittHealth policies.
• Partner closely with nursing and administrative teams to coordinate smooth transport operations.

As a Transportation Aide / Certified Nursing Assistant at PruittHealth Coastal Central, you will play an essential role in ensuring our patients and residents receive safe, timely, and supportive transportation to appointments, therapies, and activities.
