Job summary

North Country Business Products is seeking a Field Support Technician to keep grocery, convenience, and hospitality locations running smoothly. You’ll learn POS systems through our training program and travel to client sites in Bemidji, MN and Fargo, ND using a company vehicle.

Protecting uptime with hands-on hardware, software, and networking troubleshooting, you will install and deploy retail systems and lead projects from delivery to documentation while supporting customers in the field.

Qualifications

• Experience with IT hardware, software, and networking troubleshooting.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and pursue ESOP ownership.

What You'll Do

Technical Excellence:

• Learn POS systems through our comprehensive training program
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues remotely and on-site
• Install and deploy cutting-edge retail systems
• Travel to Client sites (company vehicle provided)

Client Impact:

• Be the expert who gets businesses back up and running when systems go down
• Lead installation projects from delivery through documentation
• Maintain critical inventory systems

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone with hands-on computer and technology experience who enjoys troubleshooting and working with hardware and software. Experience or familiarity with IT, networking, Wi-Fi, computer hardware, and basic technical troubleshooting is a plus.

If you’re comfortable working with technology, figuring out how things work, and solving problems, we’d love to hear from you!

Must Have:

• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Self-motivated problem-solver who can troubleshoot issues independently.
• Networking fundamentals — understanding of basic networking concepts such as Ethernet, Wi-Fi, IP addresses, routers, switches, and connectivity issues.
• Comfortable providing hands-on technical support at client locations
