Sunburst Business Solutions LLC in New York is seeking a part-time assistant to work with the owner in a hybrid office. You will support administrative tasks, coordinate scheduling, and help keep client workflows organized while applying basic accounting knowledge.
You'll pull data into reports, assist with accounts payable and cash flow, and convert numbers into actionable insights for clients. This role offers growth alongside a seasoned advisory team and requires 20–25 hours per week.
Sunburst Business Solutions is a small, growing firm that acts as a financial partner to business owners. We provide CFO advisory services, financial process management, cash flow management, business valuation and general strategic support to a varied group of clients across all industries. Our aim is to take the weight of financial management off our clients so they can put their time and energy back into the work they do best and care about most. Clients rely on us for trusted, insightful financial management that gives them peace of mind and helps set their strategic direction.
In this role you'll work directly with the firm's owner, who brings decades of financial and business advisory experience. You'll learn how seasoned judgment is applied to real client situations while also serving as a trustworthy assistant to the owner, helping to both keep things organized and keep day-to-day work moving. You'll be involved in and learn about all aspects of running a small advisory firm, from supporting clients to coordinating the activities that keep the business running.
You'll move between client files and work within accounting, payment and reporting platforms. You'll assist with management of cash flow and accounts payable so owners can stay focused on their strategic goals. You'll pull data from multiple sources into clear reports and KPI analysis, and you'll keep client information and recurring action items organized. Most importantly, you'll be a regular point of contact for clients. You'll use your accounting knowledge and communication skills to help answer their questions, solve problems and turn the numbers into decisions that help their businesses grow.
If you have some foundational knowledge in accounting and enjoy both the numbers and the people behind them, this is a chance to build your skills alongside a team of experienced advisors at a growing firm. This position will require 20-25 hours per week in a hybrid work environment.
