Job summary

Fortune Media (USA) Corporation seeks a Client Success Manager to oversee the client experience for Fortune Conferences, delivering sponsored benefits from sale through onsite execution and post-event wrap-up for new and renewing clients.

You will collaborate with sales and cross-functional teams, manage pre-sale and post-sale activities, and ensure exceptional client service across live and virtual events. This NYC-hybrid role requires travel and a strong sponsorship background.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of corporate sponsorship management in a live/virtual event setting.
  • Ability to travel domestically and globally.
  • Creative mind-set with exceptional attention to detail and great organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent client services experience – comfortable interacting with high-level executives.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and work collaboratively across functions and departments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • You will assume responsibility for the client experience upon confirmation of the sponsorship sale through to onsite execution and post-event wrap up for both new and existing clients as they renew partnerships.
  • In your role, you are representing sales as you work with clients, and you are the primary liaison between the sponsor and the internal programming, production, editorial, and marketing teams.
  • Partner with the VP of Global Conference Partnerships to communicate conference offerings, sponsorship opportunities, and available inventory to the broader Sales team.
  • Collaborate with Sales to develop customized sponsorship proposals that align with client objectives, conference strategy, and available opportunities.
  • Maintain and manage sponsorship inventory, ensuring accurate availability, allocation, and visibility into conference offerings.
  • Work cross-functionally with Programming, Editorial, Marketing, Production, and other internal teams to assess the feasibility and execution requirements of proposed sponsorship opportunities.
  • Support proposal development, revisions, and client requests, ensuring all proposed sponsorship benefits are compelling, accurate, and operationally achievable.
  • Ensure all client contract benefits are successfully delivered, working with client, your sales representative and the conference production internal teams to fulfill benefits properly and on time.
  • Ability to think strategically, grasping client key messages and priorities, enabling tailored and effective support.
  • Maintaining a clear and consistent dialogue with the sales representative to make sure the communication with clients meets their expectations.
  • Handle event registrations and communications with client executives and non-oriented executives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and their concerns in a timeline manner.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of client benefits and expectations.
  • Develop/enhance and execute custom activation as outlined in contract.
  • Provide internal updates via weekly status report.
  • Dedicated onsite point person for client executives, ensuring all expectations are met.
  • Communicate on behalf of client executives, as needed.
  • Assist with client executives’ scheduling, including booking meetings.
  • Manage all client-related on-site programs and deliverables.
  • Manage on-site client relations.
  • Ensure client executives’ experiences as speakers and/or participants are positive.
  • Support overall Fortune Conferences sales team onsite as needed.
  • Conduct post event reviews with client and sales.
  • Support the sales team by identifying opportunities for renewing or upselling additional services to enhance client experiences.
  • Work with sales and go-to-market team on post event recap materials post for all tent-pole events.

Job description

Position Overview The Client Success Manager will have the responsibility for delivering a successful client experience for the Fortune Conferences division, both live and virtual. This position requires delivering against contracted benefits and event objectives, working as a sales representative proxy along with supporting the seller's pre-sale efforts. The successful candidate will be a strong client relationship builder and will be able to navigate internal teams (production, programming, marketing, edit, sales) to ensure optimal results for clients. This position must be able to communicate clearly with clients, ensuring their expectations are exceeded. Reports directly to the VP, Events & Executive Experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Location: NYC - Hybrid. Successful candidates must live a commutable distance from our Lower Manhattan headquarters for a minimum of 4 days a week.

Salary: $90,000-$100,000 base, plus eligibility for a variable annual bonus. This range is a good faith estimate and may ultimately vary based on a number of relevant factors.
