Job summary

The Baldwin Group in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Client Manager, Employee Benefits to service clients with prompt, accurate support for benefit needs. The role involves preparing client presentations, claim reports, renewal details, and data for marketing campaigns.

You will manage onboarding, renewals, documentation, and Open Enrollment. You will present executive summaries, manage policy activity, communicate expectations, and maintain strong client relationships with insurance partners.

Qualifications

• Strong presentation skills with verbal and written communications.
• Current state license required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred plus 2+ years of related experience.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook and PowerPoint; able to learn firm software systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage client service calendar including onboarding, renewals, compliance alerts, 5500 filings, plan documentation, and Open Enrollment preparation and execution.
• Prepare and present executive summaries for clients, including claim experience, benchmarking, rate renewals, and renewal recommendations.
• Manage all policy activity aspects of assigned accounts.
• Present risks to the insurance marketplace for quoting, as needed.
• Communicate clear expectations to the client regularly, professionally, and proactively.
• Maintain high accuracy, timeliness, and completion with clients and partners.
• Manage client inquiries and coordinate with insurance partners and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Conduct enrollment meetings with prepared collateral.
• Review existing programs to determine if additional lines of insurance should be added and solicit proposals.
