Job summary

Gallagher is seeking a Client Staff Accountant in San Diego to handle daily and monthly accounting functions within the Client Finance & Accounting department. You will prepare financial statements, assist with audits, manage cash activities, and generate reports for leadership.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma with accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work in a team environment while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 2 years' accounting experience.
• Strong Excel and MS Office proficiency.
• Great organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and schedules.
• Assist with audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Manage cash activities: monitor balances, deposit checks, and process payments.
• Generate ad hoc financial reports for leadership and partners.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Record and reconcile transactions in accounting systems ensuring accuracy.
• Provide admin support to accounting team and document management.
• Support process improvement in delivery and client experience.
• Assist with transition from QuickBooks to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
