Job summary

FastTek Global is seeking a Denver-based Workday HCM Program Lead & Strategic Advisor Consultant to steer the client-side Workday HCM workstream while guiding executives on strategy and risk. The role partners with HRIS, IT, and finance to align HR activities with the broader Workday program, without owning configuration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in HR/IT or related field.
• 12-15+ years of progressive HR technology, HR transformation, enterprise HCM, or Workday consulting experience.
• Leadership across at least three full-cycle Workday HCM implementations; client-side and/or consulting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the client-side Workday HCM workstream and advise executives.
• Maintain the HCM workstream plan with milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and decisions.
• Coordinate HR functional owners and SMEs across Core HCM, compensation, benefits, recruiting, talent, HR operations, HRIS, analytics, security, integrations, payroll, compliance, data, and change readiness.
• Prepare HCM issues and decisions for governance with clear owners and follow-up.
• Review and challenge implementation-partner recommendations, assumptions, estimates, sequencing, and proposed HCM designs.
• Translate Workday capabilities and alternatives into business choices with tradeoffs, costs, and operating-model implications.
• Evaluate alignment of proposed designs with HR strategy, experience, data governance, reporting, and post-go-live ownership.
• Anticipate cross-functional and downstream impacts across HCM and connected systems.
• Identify avoidable customization and design debt; propose mitigation and escalation paths.
• Coordinate client-side readiness for discovery, design, data conversion, testing, deployment, hypercare, and transition to operations.
• Provide executive assessments of HCM health, risks, and readiness.
• Assess internal roles, governance, and support model for post-go-live ownership.
• Provide targeted coaching and knowledge transfer to HR leaders and functional workstream owners.
