Montclair Pet Hospital in Oakland, CA is seeking a friendly Client Service Representative to join our team. You’ll be the first point of contact, ensuring every client and pet feels welcome from the moment they walk in or call.

You’ll schedule appointments, answer questions and support the veterinary team with empathy and professionalism. The role offers a four-day, 10-hour shift schedule, weekends off and a comprehensive benefits package.

As the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming, reassuring experience from the moment they walk through our doors or pick up the phone.

Your Role

As a Client Service Representative, you'll be at the heart of the client experience, helping our hospital run smoothly while ensuring every pet and person feels welcome and cared for.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcome clients and their pets, creating a warm, professional and positive first impression.
• Answer incoming calls, respond to enquiries and provide helpful, compassionate customer service.
• Schedule and coordinate appointments, helping clients navigate their pets' care.
• Recognise urgent concerns and promptly communicate them to the appropriate veterinary team member.
• Maintain accurate client and patient information, ensuring records are updated appropriately.
• Support clear communication between clients, veterinarians and the wider hospital team.
• Help manage the flow of appointments and keep the reception area organised and welcoming.
• Handle client questions and concerns with empathy, professionalism and a solutions-focused approach.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a smooth and positive experience for clients and patients, even during busy periods.

Previous veterinary experience would be an advantage, but it's not essential. We're particularly interested in finding someone with the right attitude, strong customer service skills and a genuine interest in helping pets and their people.
