Job summary

National Veterinary Associates is seeking a friendly, customer-focused receptionist for Montville Veterinary Group in Connecticut. You will greet clients, schedule appointments and handle payments while helping maintain a clean, welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate communicates clearly, pays attention to detail, and works well both independently and as part of a team. Some weekend shifts are required, and prior veterinary experience is preferred but not required.

Job description

Montville Veterinary Group is a busy small animal hospital that is looking for the right person to join our team. We are looking for an individual who has a friendly personality and enjoys interacting with people. Experience in the veterinary field is preferred but not required. We are open to a full or part-time schedule for this role.

Responsibilities include:
  • Maintain a professional, cheerful and helpful attitude when interacting with clients.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments.
  • Accurately process payments and able to review invoices with clients.
  • Assist with keeping the hospital clean and clear of odors.
  • Take complete phone messages and prescription requests.
  • Filing charts and assist with maintaining complete medical records.

Benefits include 401k retirement w/ company match and excellent pet care discount. Full-time roles are also eligible for medical, vision, and dental insurance, and paid time off.

The base hourly range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00. Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
