D’Orazio Wealth Advisors (DWA) seeks a proactive, service-oriented professional with a genuine interest in financial services to join our Operations Team.
We are a fee-only financial planning and wealth management firm serving business owners, executives, families, and individuals. With over $1.5B in Assets Under Advisement, we pair personalized planning with a disciplined, technology-forward investment process.
Location:
On-site in Vienna, VA (potential for flexible/hybrid work with tenure).
Team:
Operations, partnering closely with Financial Planning, Tax Planning, Portfolio Management, and Estate Planning.
Reports to:
Operations Team Leadership.
What You’ll Do:
This role combines office administration and client service. The successful candidate will keep client requests and operational workflows organized, communicate clearly, and follow through without repeated reminders.
Create a Professional Client and Office Experience
- Welcome clients and visitors, answer and route calls, and create a polished office experience.
- Coordinate calendars and meetings; prepare conference rooms and materials and confirm logistics.
- Manage mail, shipping, scanning, supplies, vendors, facilities needs, and routine office administration.
- Provide dependable administrative support to advisors and team members.
Own Client Service and Account Workflows
- Process account openings, transfers, rollovers, beneficiary changes, registrations, and maintenance requests.
- Support money movement and forms; monitor signatures, rejected items, and missing information.
- Communicate with custodians and providers and follow requests through resolution.
- Maintain accurate CRM notes, digital records, workflows, and onboarding tasks.
Own Client Service and Account Workflows
- Prioritize work, anticipate deadlines, identify incomplete items, and take next steps without repeated direction.
- Communicate status, obstacles, and next steps proactively.
- Improve checklists and workflows while protecting confidential information and following compliance procedures.
- Participate in firm initiatives and embrace a “no task too small” culture.
What Success Looks Like (First 6-12 Months):
- You independently manage recurring office and client service responsibilities with minimal reminders.
- Client requests are acknowledged promptly, completed accurately, and followed through.
- CRM records, digital files, and workflows remain current and clearly documented.
- You build working knowledge of DWA’s standards, technology, custodian processes, and compliance procedures.
- You demonstrate curiosity about financial services and steadily grow your industry knowledge.
- You earn greater responsibility through reliability, judgment, initiative, and follow-through.
Qualifications:
Required
- Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and follow-through without repeated direction.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and prioritization.
- Professional communication, sound judgment, discretion, and a service-oriented approach.
- Genuine interest in financial services or wealth management and a willingness to learn.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and confidence learning new systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and relevant experience.
Preferred
- Two or more years in client service, wealth management, financial services, banking, operations, or professional services.
- Experience at a Registered Investment Advisor, financial institution, custodian, or client-focused organization.
- Experience with CRM, electronic signature, account-opening workflows, transfers, rollovers, or money movement.
- Familiarity with Schwab Advisor Center, Fidelity Wealthscape, or comparable custodial platforms.
- Series 65 or Series 7 and 66, or willingness to pursue firm-supported licensing.
