ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Handle all incoming phone calls which includes scheduling appointments, phone triage, forwarding calls to appropriate departments or personnel.
- Client Services: greeting and checking in clients for emergencies and specialty appointments while maintaining timely flow of patients from admission to discharge. Communicating efficiently and accurately with clients to exceed client expectations.
- Systems: collect and enter all client and patient information into hospital system, review and maintain client/patient files. Resolve open invoices, collect payments, and run end of shift reporting. Faxing and email of records to rDVM offices.
- General Maintenance and Cleaning: keep desk clean and organized. Stock all front desk supplies. Keep lobby and exam rooms clean and organized as delineated on end of shift report, including but not limited to, dust mopping, wet mopping, laundry, and trash removal.

- Problem solving skills - Demonstrates a strong ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems. Translates problems into practical solutions.
- Client service skills - Consistently ensures the team provides the client with attentive, courteous, and informative service. Gains and shows personal satisfaction from delivering great service.
- Intellectual ability - Accurately and consistently follows instructions delivered in a verbal, written, or diagram format. Can provide accurate directions.
- Computer skills - Comfortably and confidently uses a computer and specialized veterinary medical software.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma, GED, or higher education
- 2+ years of customer or client service experience.
- Exceptional ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, including the public.
- Previous Veterinary experience preferred

- Position requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work evenings and weekends as required.

- Visual acuity sufficient to maintain accurate records; recognize people and understand written directions.

- Fine motor skills adequate for utilizing office equipment such as multi-line phone system, printers/copiers and computer keyboards.
