Job summary

FlexTrade is seeking a Client Services Developer to join a dynamic team that interfaces directly with clients and contributes to the full software lifecycle—from design to support—in a large-scale, multi-asset order management system.

Develop client-specific features in Java/Scala on Linux, build monitoring and testing tools, and handle client communications via email and calls. A BS in CS and 1–3 years of Java experience are required; SQL and Linux fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science
• 1–3 years of Java development experience (Scala is good to have)
• Fluency in concurrent programming
• Fluency with the Linux/Unix command-line environment
• Strong SQL knowledge and skills
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong preference for Buy-Side Order Management experience (but not required)

Responsibilities

• Develop client-specific features and improvements in Scala, Java, Linux
• Develop software monitoring and testing software solutions
• Answer email and (less frequently) phone calls from clients for general application support and troubleshooting
