• Daily calls to clients regarding hospitalized pets, financial updates.
• Creating estimates for surgeries and treatments directed by doctors.
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
• Recommending and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
• Educating clients on products, services, and general animal care.
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.

Why We Need You

• Direct communication with doctors regarding treatment plans, creating estimates, providing daily financial updates and presenting these plans to clients.
• Daily calls to clients regarding hospitalized pets, financial updates.
• Creating estimates for surgeries and treatments directed by doctors.
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and doctor recommendations.
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.

Must have open/flexible availability and be highly professional. No drama workplace.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Compassion for pets and people—as well as awareness and understanding of others’ reactions
• The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• 2 years’ experience customer service and cash handling experience
• Full-time with flexible availability
• Able to multi-tasking in a busy environment
• Able to provide excellent client service
• Passionate about patient care
• Team oriented
• Appointment management: obtain histories, medical record keeping, invoice and patient discharge, prepare and dispense prescriptions, and educate clients

COMPENSATION

$20 - $24/hr
