Job summary

VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking a personable and professional Client Service Representative to join our team. You will greet clients and their pets, schedule visits, and help explain services and fees in a friendly, accurate manner.

You’ll manage records, assist with product recommendations, handle payments, and keep the hospital environment neat and welcoming. Experience in client service within a veterinary setting is a plus; we value empathy, organization, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service within a veterinary setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage records with accuracy and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets, answer phones, and guide to exam rooms.
• Schedule and confirm appointments.
• Place outbound follow-up calls to clients.
• Explain fees and process payments.
• Recommend products/services, including prescriptions when appropriate.
• Educate clients on basic animal care and preventive health.
• Maintain medical records, charts and correspondence.
• Keep the hospital clean and organized at all times.

Client Service Representative We are seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team. We’re looking for a personable yet highly professional “service extraordinaire” to join us in delivering our mission to our clients and their pets.

Why We Need You

• Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments.
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
• Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.
