Holmes Murphy is offering a Summer Client Service Internship in Kansas City, MO, a 10-week, on-site program designed to expose interns to the insurance industry through hands-on experience and educational workshops.

Interns rotate through Brokerage Services teams to broaden their understanding of Holmes Murphy and focus on client retention and satisfaction. The program emphasizes learning, mentorship, and real-world client interactions in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or in pursuit of enrollment at a 4‑year institution.
• Majors preferred include Business Administration, Finance, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Health Promotion, Risk Management & Insurance.
• Prior work experience is a plus, preferably in a customer service or administrative role.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in managing existing client relationships
• Handling day‑to‑day service needs
• Assisting in ensuring clients receive timely and accurate information
• Assisting in supporting the sales and services teams with marketing of new and renewal business to include gathering needed information
• Assisting the sales and service teams with preparation & creation of materials for presentations
• Attending client meetings
• Assisting in supporting the sales team by delivering on agreements made during the sales process
• Additional duties as assigned

What is our Client Service Internship? Our Client Service Interns rotate through our Brokerage Services teams throughout the summer to broaden their perspective of Holmes Murphy and the insurance industry (where available based on geography). Our Client Service Team focuses on client retention and satisfaction.
