Job summary

Lakeside PS in Denver, NC is seeking a Project Coordinator with a trades background to manage maintenance projects from inception through closeout in a fast-paced, in-office environment.

You will coordinate 30–50 work orders, source and manage subcontractors, negotiate scope and budgets, and ensure timely, quality repairs while delivering stellar customer service.

Qualifications

• Must have a background in or working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, mechanical systems or related trades.
• Trade-specific background of 6 months or more required; may include construction projects, DYI projects, handyman or renovation experience.
• Experience with Preventative Maintenance programs preferred.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, strong written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate single-trade facilities maintenance projects.
• Coordinate 30 to 50 work orders simultaneously.
• Source and manage subcontractors to complete repairs within budget and on time.
• Provide exemplary customer service and clear communication.
• Utilize company computer tools to communicate project information per procedures.
• Earn OSHA 30 certification within 6 months of hire date (paid by employer).

Position Description:

Client Service Coordinators supervise facility maintenance requests from beginning to end. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is important to success. This is an office-based position requiring substantial phone and computer usage. The qualified candidate will have a background in or working knowledge of any of the following: plumbing, HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, mechanical systems; may include construction projects, DYI projects, construction, handyman or renovation business experience, trade school degree

What you'll do as a Project Coordinator:

• Estimate and negotiate single trade facilities maintenance projects.
• Coordinate 30 to 50 work orders simultaneously.
• Source and manage subcontractors to execute repairs within budget and on time.
• Provide exemplary customer service and communication.
• Use various computer tools to communicate project information per company procedures.
• Receive OSHA 30 Certification within 6 months of hire date (Paid for by Employer)

What you must have:

• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a high volume of work orders in a fast-paced work environment
• At least 6 months of trade-specific background or knowledge. For example, one or more of the following:
  • plumbing
  • HVAC
  • electrical
  • refrigeration
  • mechanical systems
  • may include construction projects, DYI projects, family construction, handyman or renovation business experience
  • Trade school degree
• Experience with Preventative Maintenance programs preferred
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary:

$45,000 base salary plus commissions
