Job summary

Responsibilities

Job description

  • Develop a thorough understanding of client businesses, policies, practices, and industries
  • Manage the client service cycle and monitor timeframes and renewal deadlines
  • Respond to client inquiries and agency management system/company requests
  • Assist with preparing insurance company submissions
  • Review, order, and document renewals
  • Investigate non-renewals
  • Review policy documents for accuracy before customer delivery
  • Maintain current client policy coverage information in the EPIC agency management system
  • Maintain EPIC activity records for endorsements, correspondence, audits, reports, claims, and follow-up items
  • Assist with maintaining the expiration control log
  • Rate and issue policies and endorsements through carrier websites
  • Prepare and deliver certificates, account summaries, endorsements, policies, lost policy releases, FR19s, auto identification cards, and account balance statuses
  • Initiate correspondence with companies and clients
  • Process and follow up on cancellation, late notice, and reinstatement requests
  • Prepare billing according to agency credit and collection policies
  • Assist with prompt reviews of audits and arrange corrections with customers and companies
  • Assist with reporting client claims and updating EPIC claim information
  • Maintain knowledge of insurance, specialty-area, technical, and professional standards
  • Service clients in accordance with professional service standards, quality management guidelines, legal and regulatory requirements, and practice guidelines
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service
  • Maintain knowledge of carrier practices, agency management systems, and underwriting requirements
  • Keep Client Managers, Client Executives, and Risk Advisors informed of account activities and potential problems
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years of insurance experience handling accounts at a high level of responsibility
