Job summary

Applied Compute seeks a Platform Security Engineer to shape the security posture as we scale, defending data, credentials, and execution boundaries across customer deployments. You will work with infrastructure, product, and research teams to embed security from design through deployment and advance AI-native defense using our agent stack.

You will own security guarantees for enterprise customers, lead incident response, and help grow our security team as we expand our platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in platform security and cyber defense.
• Ability to think like an attacker and engineer secure systems.
• Experience shipping secure software to production.
• Strong judgement to prioritise vulnerabilities and fixes.
• Familiarity with cloud/multi-tenant environments.
• Experience with incident response and threat intel.

Responsibilities

• Shape the security architecture end-to-end from data handling to agent execution.
• Lead threat modeling and secure design reviews.
• Drive offensive security program to stress-test platform and pipelines.
• Build tooling, detections, and security automation at scale.
• Partner with engineers to enforce secure-by-default practices.
• Own security guarantees presented to enterprise customers.
• Lead incident response and durable fixes.
• Help grow the security team as the company scales.
