Glocomms is partnering with a leading global trading and technology firm to hire a Platform Security Engineer in Chicago, IL. The role focuses on securing endpoint infrastructure across a hybrid environment while maintaining performance and usability for clients.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in cybersecurity engineering, familiarity with EDR/XDR tools, scripting (Python/PowerShell), and collaboration skills to work with engineering teams to deploy and validate security solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting endpoint platforms (Windows, Linux, macOS).
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering and implementation.
• Familiarity with endpoint security tools (e.g., EDR/XDR, antivirus).
• Scripting or development experience (any high-level language).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with tools such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or Carbon Black.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management platforms (e.g., Qualys).
• Experience with scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Familiarity with SIEM or SOAR platforms.
