Role: Client Partner – Life Sciences

Role Overview

To support our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Client Partner / Consultative Sales Leader with a strong background in life sciences, pharmaceutical services, and enterprise solution selling.

The Client Partner will be responsible for driving strategic growth across a portfolio of pharmaceutical and healthcare accounts by building trusted relationships with senior executives, identifying business challenges, and positioning Indegene’s integrated healthcare solutions.

This role requires a consultative sales mindset—someone who can engage C-suite stakeholders, understand complex business priorities, translate challenges into solutions, and collaborate with internal teams to create transformational outcomes for clients.

The ideal candidate will have experience selling complex services and solutions across areas such as commercial transformation, digital health, analytics, consulting, medical, regulatory, clinical, safety, and market access.

This leader will own strategic account growth, revenue expansion, pipeline development, and executive relationship management while partnering closely with delivery teams to ensure client success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own revenue growth, bookings, and business expansion across assigned strategic life sciences accounts.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans focused on relationship expansion, pipeline generation, and long-term growth.
  • Engage with C-suite executives and senior business leaders to understand business priorities, challenges, and transformation goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by connecting client needs with Indegene’s healthcare solutions and capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, and expanding Indegene’s footprint within existing accounts.
  • Build relationships across multiple buying groups, including commercial, medical, regulatory, clinical, safety, analytics, and technology functions.
Enterprise Sales & Business Development
  • Lead consultative sales conversations with pharmaceutical and life sciences organizations.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through strategic prospecting and relationship building.
  • Map key stakeholders and decision-makers within target accounts and develop engagement strategies.
  • Generate demand by positioning Indegene’s solutions against client business challenges.
  • Lead RFI/RFP opportunities and collaborate with internal SMEs to develop compelling proposals.
  • Drive client presentations, executive discussions, solution workshops, and sales pitches.
  • Partner with delivery and functional teams to convert opportunities into successful engagements.
Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as a strategic partner and primary executive point of contact for assigned accounts.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with client leadership teams.
  • Understand evolving client priorities and proactively identify opportunities to create value.
  • Govern account performance and partner with delivery teams to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Monitor engagement health, improve client experience, and drive stronger NPS outcomes.
  • Bring strong commercial acumen and understanding of pharmaceutical industry trends.
  • Stay current on market dynamics, healthcare transformation, technology trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Translate industry insights into actionable business opportunities.
  • Partner with leadership teams to shape go-to-market strategies.
  • Contribute to building Indegene’s market presence and reputation as a healthcare transformation partner.
Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 12+ years of experience in consultative sales, business development, strategic account management, or client partnerships within life sciences, healthcare, or related industries.
  • Proven success selling complex services, solutions, or consulting engagements to pharmaceutical and biotech organizations.
  • Experience engaging with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers.
  • Strong track record of achieving revenue targets, growing enterprise accounts, and creating new business opportunities.
  • Experience owning strategic accounts, sales pipelines, and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Experience managing large enterprise relationships and multi-stakeholder buying environments.
  • Consulting background (Big Four or similar organizations) with experience translating business challenges into solutions is highly preferred.
  • Experience with P&L ownership, commercial strategy, and account growth is a strong advantage.
Must-Have Skills
