The role emphasizes timely issue resolution, compliance guidance, and strong vendor relations across multiple sessions with clients. The ideal candidate holds a state life and health license, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and 3+ years in employee benefits.

Qualifications

  • Attains and maintains state life and health license in accordance with IMA standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent job experience.
  • 3+ years of Employee Benefits experience, preferably with large and complex accounts.
  • Intermediate MS office skills (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel, InDesign, Box).
  • Ability to learn and work in agency/client management systems and other related software and technology platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and accurately, strong attention to detail.
  • Intermediate interpersonal communication skills – written and oral – with the ability to articulate ideas and information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Ability to present information in a group setting (in person and virtually).
  • Intermediate organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with variable deadlines.
  • Possesses high degree of diplomacy and tact while maintaining confidentially.

  • Oversees job flow and outcome accuracy of assigned Account Coordinator

Job description

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
  • Supports and demonstrates IMA’s core values

  • Answers questions related to benefits program
  • Conducts reviews and works to provide guidance on compliance related matters
  • Client meetings
  • Assists in and prepares materials and collateral for meetings and discussions
  • Actively participates in discussions
  • Records and reports meeting discussion and action items
  • Carrier and vendor management
  • Oversees new vendor/carrier implementations
  • Reviews carrier, vendor, and plan documents and contracts
  • Maintains regular contact with carrier and vendor representatives to ensure client advocacy and that issues are being resolved in a timely manner
  • Communication and education
  • Works with clients to develop short and long-term employee communication objectives
  • Creates member facing collateral pieces to promote and clarify benefit program features
  • Leads in person, virtual, and telephonic sessions to provide information and plan details to participants
  • Uses regular interactions to update clients on carrier and vendor partner features and services
  • Internal partnerships
  • Actively participates and contributes to client service team operations to meet deadlines
  • Effectively communicates client updates to appropriate team members and maintain task management system
  • Oversees job flow and outcome accuracy of assigned Account Coordinator
  • Assists with other team duties as needed – i.e., position vacancy, cover personal time off, etc.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS include but are not limited to:
  • Attains and maintains state life and health license in accordance with IMA standards

  • 3+ years of Employee Benefits experience, preferably with large and complex accounts

Salary Range: $100,000 – $120,000 USD
