Client Manager (CPA) | St. Petersburg, FL | $100K - $130K Base + bonuses | Hybrid

A well-established CPA and fractional CFO firm in St. Petersburg is adding a Client Manager to its consulting team. This isn't a traditional public accounting seat. You'll work with the same group of business owners year after year as their go-to financial resource, handling their books, financial statements and tax returns, and being the person they call when something comes up.

The firm has about 30 people across the country, is growing around 20% a year entirely through referrals and word of mouth, and has client relationships going back 20 years. Clients pay a premium for a high-touch, high-service experience, and the team takes that seriously.

What you'll do

• Serve as the main point of contact for your clients. When they call, you pick up and help them
• Oversee bookkeeping and produce accurate monthly and year-end financial statements
• Prepare and review business and individual tax returns
• Spot problems and opportunities in the numbers and bring them to the client before they ask
• Work alongside senior consultants on planning and CFO-level projects

What we're looking for

• Active CPA license is preferred, but not required
• 5+ years of experience preparing financial statements and tax returns
• Strong bookkeeping background. If you could step in as a controller at a small or mid-sized company, you're the right fit
• You like talking to clients and you're detail oriented. This role needs both
• Local to the Tampa Bay area or willing to relocate. The work is learned side by side, so this is not a remote role
