Job summary

kept.pro is seeking an experienced accounting onboarding professional to scope clients’ needs and drive a fast, accurate onboarding. You’ll coordinate from initial conversations through handoff to the service team, shortening time to value while preserving client satisfaction.

You’ll serve as the primary client contact during early months, facilitating meetings, collecting required information, and ensuring timely follow-ups. A remote, distributed team environment is common.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
• 1+ year of project management experience or equivalent training.
• Confidence with multiple technology platforms and systems.
• Strong ability to manage competing priorities and delegate.

ABOUT YOU

You have at least 6 years of Accounting experience and excel at quickly building trust and convincing clients to give you what you need.

ABOUT THE JOB

You’ll scope new clients’ accounting needs and coordinate their onboarding, from the first conversations through handoff to the service team. Your goal is to shorten the time it takes to get clients up and running without sacrificing accuracy or a positive client experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Scope new clients’ accounting needs, review their systems and records, and define the work needed for a successful start.
• Conduct accounting setup and cleanup activities, document client processes, and prepare the service team for a smooth handoff.
• Establish technology integrations and connections for various 3rd party client platforms
• Act as the primary point of contact for the client during their first few months, including meeting facilitation and action item follow-ups
• Earn clients’ cooperation, gather required information, and follow up on missing items while keeping clients informed.

You should also be someone who is humble enough to pitch in with standard accounting work to help when the team is short-handed.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 6+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred
• 1+ year project management experience or equivalent training is preferred
• Confidence working in various technology platforms
• Comfortable with managing competing priorities and delegation
• A high comfort level engaging with clients and internal teammates
• Analytical thinker that is skilled in creative problem solving
• Experience working in a remote environment with a distributed team
• Reside in a state we are established (Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Minnesota)
