Job summary

Energy Resource Center is a Colorado nonprofit focused on improving comfort, safety, and efficiency of homes for low-income households. The Client Intake Specialist maintains client files, screens eligibility for the Colorado Energy Office Weatherization Assistance Program, and coordinates audits and weatherization scheduling with field crews.

The role involves interviewing clients, preparing state reports, and ensuring accurate documentation while providing clear information on energy measures

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 3–5 years in client services, case management, or related field.
• Pre-employment drug screening; background and MVR checks.
• Proficient in MS Office; strong communication and organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain weatherization and furnace application files; ensure eligibility per state/program rules.
• Use the computer system to track and manage client information.
• Answer calls and direct to appropriate staff.
• Inform clients about energy measures and eligibility requirements clearly.
• Schedule work dates with clients; coordinate with crews and priorities.
• Prepare daily field staff schedules and adjust as needed.
• Receive and distribute mail; prepare/send program letters.
• Update client forms for accuracy.
• Conduct client education on energy efficiency measures.
• Select clients for scheduling based on priorities and crew availability.
• Assist coordinators in preparing field staff schedules.
• Perform other related duties to support ERC’s mission.
