Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a Personal Banker to deliver exceptional client experience and grow relationships with both new and existing clients at the Sutherlin, Oregon location. You will assess needs, offer suitable banking products, and coordinate with internal partners.

The role includes consumer lending opportunities, accurate cash handling, and providing timely responses to inquiries. You will open consumer and business accounts, support teller duties when needed, and contribute to the branch

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year Teller or other banking experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of consumer banking and business products and services offered.
• Ability to obtain a Nationwide Multistate Licensing and Registry (NMLS) preferred.
• Ability to accurately handle cash, balance accounts and drawers, and perform accurate calculations.
• Proficient in expanding the client relationship with emphasis on creating new relationships and expanding existing relationships.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional client experience by adhering to Breakthrough Client Experience Standards.
• Acquire new and expand existing relationships with clients by identifying needs and offering appropriate products and services, and referring clients to internal partners when needed.
• Uncover and originate consumer lending opportunities.
• Provide excellent client service by responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Engage clients and prospects in client financial reviews to provide solutions and uncover additional financial needs.
• Open Consumer and Business accounts for existing and new clients.
• Assist on teller functions when needed and support branch goals to refer products to internal partners.
• Resolve client issues and requests with proactive follow-through.
• Build familiarity with business, consumer, and trust entities.
