Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an entry-level Personal Banker under the SAFE Act. This role supports sales, product and service activities with the customer service team to foster relationships and grow consumer client relationships.

Responsibilities include handling small business lending referrals, cross-selling treasury products, coaching staff, and ensuring compliance with Citi policies while delivering excellent client experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• NMLS registration; Safe Act compliant.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Handle business credit requests under $250K and refer larger lending opportunities.
• Build referral opportunities through Centers of Influence (COIs) and MGM program.
• Assist in strategies to grow small business clients and implement sales plans.
• Deliver client services via outbound/inbound calls to acquire and deepen relationships.
• Coach Teller staff on products and programs and provide appropriate referrals.
• Educate clients on service and digital channels and present product offers.
• Understand and comply with Citibank policies and procedures.
• Assess risk in business decisions and escalate/control issues with transparency.
