Job summary

Core Financial is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing for a group of clients using iSolved HCM. You will gather payroll information, answer client questions, resolve issues, and ensure accurate, on-time payroll delivery.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to handle multiple clients and deadlines in a collaborative, professional environment.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Familiarity with iSolved is a bonus, but not required.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll withholding requirements.
• Familiarity with payroll tax filings and year-end reporting, including Forms 941, 940, W-2, and W-3.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and competing deadlines.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential employee and financial information appropriately.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take ownership of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Process client payrolls from beginning to end using iSolved HCM.
• Review and audit payroll data before finalizing each payroll.
• Manage new hires, terminations, employee changes, and other employee maintenance.
• Maintain earnings, deductions, taxes, direct deposits, and other payroll information.
• Review payroll registers, pre-process reports, and exceptions for accuracy.
• Process regular, bonus, supplemental, correction, and off-cycle payrolls.
• Assist clients with timekeeping, timecard approvals, PTO and accruals.
• Process garnishments and other employee deductions.
• Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and determine appropriate corrections.
• Research payroll tax notices and account discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate client records and payroll documentation.
• Communicate proactively with clients regarding deadlines, missing information, or potential issues.
