Job summary

FirstBank PR is seeking a Service Representative (Teller) in Puerto Rico to deliver exceptional customer service while handling daily transactions and cash operations. You will identify customer needs, promote banking solutions, and ensure compliance with banking regulations.

The role requires basic math skills, strong communication, and the ability to work holidays and weekends. Bilingual candidates are preferred; MS Office and banking tools proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year of experience in sales or customer service.
• At least 24 credits toward an associate or bachelor’s degree, preferably in banking.
• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Fully bilingual preferred.
• Computer literacy with MS Office, Internet, and banking tools.
• Willingness to work holidays, weekends, and flexible schedules.
• Organized, detail oriented and able to multitask.
• Experience with cash registers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Attend and process daily banking transactions for customers.
• Identify customer needs and refer to appropriate products and services.
• Provide service according to defined satisfaction standards.
• Comply with BSA, AML and OFAC regulations and internal controls.
• Balance cash at end of day and prepare transaction documents.
• Complete required forms (e.g., FINCEN 104, CTR) as applicable.
• Support branch growth through Sales Culture and OSS programs.
• Assist with greeter duties and general administrative tasks.
• Educate customers on alternative channels (mobile app, online banking, ATMs).
