Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a Personal Banker in Cincinnati to engage clients, uncover needs, and deliver tailored financial solutions in person and by phone. You will build relationships, expand existing accounts, and contribute to branch goals while upholding compliance and strong service standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years Experience in developing current and new customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources.
• Understanding of consumer credit - including loan to value, debt to income and credit reports.
• Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques with clients, including tele-consulting, outside calling, prospecting, and networking.
• Comfortable interacting with small business clients, overcoming objection, and asking fact-finding questions.
• Demonstrated experience with influencing business partners and leveraging centers of influence.
• Working knowledge of PCs (MS Windows and Office Products including Word, Excel).
• Working knowledge of digital technology (mobile, apps, web-based browsing) and ability to educate clients on digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate and realizing the impact we can have on their day, personally, professionally, and financially.
• Listen for clues for financial wellness opportunities during in-person and over the phone client conversations and provide effective and customized financial wellness recommendations to clients.
• Consistently attains individual activity, behavior, and outcome goals and expectations.
• Opening personal and business accounts (consumer checking, small business, various deposit products, home equity, unsecured lending, certificates of deposit, etc.).
• Developing strong partnerships with branch teammates and line of business partners – focusing on client acquisition and deepening the relationship of current clients; effectively managing internal and external centers of influence.
• Ensuring compliance with operational, risk, security and audit procedures and policies including appropriate documentation of client interactions.
• Support of branch operations including assisting with client transactions on the Teller line as needed.
• Participate in and occasionally facilitate in-person morning huddles and end of day debriefs.
• Work on Saturdays as directed by management.
• Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
