Job summary

Advanced Behavioral Health (ABH®) is seeking a Client Financial Coordinator to process fund requests, monitor reporting, and deliver superior service under the DMHAS framework. The role represents ABH® positively and adheres to its best practices and procedures.

Key duties include assessing money management needs, budgeting support, and coordinating with clinicians, families, landlords, and agencies to secure resources for clients while maintaining accurate records for audits and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in money management and budgeting support.
• Strong communication and interviewing skills.
• Understanding of financial assistance programs and eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to clients for money management, including budgeting support and disbursement of funds.
• Demonstrates therapeutic communication and interviewing techniques with clients referred to the Money Management Program.
• Collaborate with clients, clinicians, families, conservators, and landlords to update money management plans.
• Identify barriers to engagement and work with the primary clinician on intervention plans.
• Maintain knowledge of financial assistance programs, eligibility criteria, and access pathways.
• Assist clients with completing applications for needed financial resources and accessing services.
• Coordinate with entitlement and energy agencies and utility companies to obtain services for clients.
• Collaborate with ABH Finance to meet daily banking duties and respond to audits.
• Receive disbursement checks and cash from Finance and distribute to clients per predetermined amounts.
