Job summary

Capgemini in New York seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work directly with clients, understand complex business challenges, and deliver scalable technology solutions. You will bridge business needs and technical implementation by collaborating with product, engineering, and data teams.

Responsibilities include designing and deploying custom software, building data integrations, dashboards, and cloud-based deployments, while guiding customers through tech workshops and architecture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering, solutions engineering, or consulting experience.
• Experience working directly with customers or business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand business processes, challenges, and technical requirements.
• Design, build, and deploy custom software solutions aligned with client objectives.
• Develop data integrations, APIs, and automation workflows.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures.
• Configure, customize, and implement cloud-based applications and platforms.
• Build dashboards, analytics solutions, and data pipelines to support business decisions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical guidance to customers.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Customer Success teams.
• Lead technical workshops, solution demonstrations, and architecture discussions.
• Drive successful solution adoption and ensure customer success.
