Job summary

Jobot seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge client needs and engineering delivery. You will pair with customers to gather requirements, design solutions, and translate business goals into technical outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software/data/ML engineering, proven client-facing experience, and strong Python/SQL skills. Some travel to customer sites is expected. Hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience working directly with external customers, clients, or business stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver software solutions.
• Experience leading customer discovery sessions, technical workshops, architecture discussions, or implementation engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer discovery sessions and architecture discussions with executives, business leaders, and technical teams.
• Design and deliver data-intensive software solutions aligned with customer goals.
• Translate customer needs into technical tasks, trade-offs, and timelines while communicating effectively across boardroom and codebase.
