Job summary

CFGI is seeking a Finance & Accounting Advisory – Consultant in the United States, New York. You will work with CFGI professionals, Big 4 auditors, and client management on due diligence, financial analysis, and reporting, developing client relationships and delivering results on engagements.

Expect ownership of projects from start to finish, opportunities for client interaction, and exposure to diverse industries.

Qualifications

• 2.5-5 years of experience in public accounting, accounting advisory, consulting, and/or corporate accounting/finance.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience at a Big 4 firm (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, or PwC).
• CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification is a nice-to-have.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operational due diligence for complex transactions (i.e. acquisitions and divestitures, stock offerings, debt raises, IPOs).
• Accounting projects focused on carving out business units/subsidiaries.
• Integration with client’s internal staff as a subject matter expert on accounting tasks.
• Preparation of financial and regulatory information in accordance with SEC requirements (10-K, 10-Q, S-1, S-4).
• Research & documentation projects related to new ASC accounting standards.
• Process improvement projects and implementation of changes.
