Job summary

The Google Cloud Platform team seeks a Customer Engineer in Charleston, WV. The role focuses on helping clients transform their business using Google Cloud, delivering end-to-end solutions, and driving adoption of cloud-based data and infrastructure technologies.

You will engage with customers to understand requirements, design demonstrations, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver practical outcomes on-site or remotely.

Qualifications

• Four year college education or comparable useful experience.
• 2 years of involvement with virtualization or Google Cloud local designs in a client confronting or support job.
• Experience with traditional data warehousing, Big Data technologies, streaming, performance and scalability.
• Experience in performing technical presentations or public speaking.

Responsibilities

• Support neighborhood groups in perceiving key business opportunities, connect with clients to address parts of the data lifecycle.
• Identify business and technical needs, direct full technical discovery, and engineer client solutions to meet gathered requirements.
• Work with Google Cloud Platform products to show and model integrations in client/partner environments, and travel as needed for meetings, technical reviews, and on-site delivery activities.
• Plan and convey product messaging to highlight the Google Cloud Platform offering, using whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, and requests for information responses.
• Lead technical projects, including technology evangelism, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and coordinating additional technical resources.
