Job summary
HartleyCo in New York City is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to turn AI opportunities into production systems. You will own architecture, implementation, deployment and client relationships.
The role ships software inside Fortune 500 environments, collaborates with Anthropic and OpenAI teams, and offers fast progression into larger systems and engineering leadership.

Qualifications
- 3-8 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong product engineering and system design fundamentals.
- Experience shipping production software end-to-end.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Ability to work across multiple technical layers and domains.
- Clear communication and direct customer engagement.
- Regular use of AI tooling (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or similar).
- High agency and commitment to delivering measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, implementation, deployment, and client relationships for production AI solutions.
- Lead multi-layer system design and delivery within Fortune 500 environments.
- Collaborate across backend, frontend, data, and infrastructure teams to ship end-to-end solutions.
