The Client Compliance Specialist contributes to Jones Day’s efforts to respond to client requirements and inquiries. The Specialist prepares responses to clients’ auditor inquiries; manages the documentation of client agreements (e.g., outside counsel guidelines; master service agreements), and coordinates responses to clients’ third-party vendor assessments and compliance surveys. The Specialist reports to the Client Compliance Manager and works across offices directly with attorneys and staff to coordinate the gathering and recording of information. The Specialist accomplishes these responsibilities by developing a comprehensive understanding of Jones Day’s policies and procedures as well as a basic understanding of legal matter lifecycle. The Specialist assists with the implementation of automated workflows and the development of digital libraries utilizing software such as Intapp and iManage.
The role requires a familiarity with several administrative functions, including billing, financial services, and new matter services. Also necessary is the ability to collaborate with a variety of attorneys and administrative professionals. Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to proactively manage multiple projects at the same time; operate independently; and respond to changing deadlines and shifting priorities
