Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a Teller in Central Point, Oregon, to provide accurate teller transactions and exceptional customer service onsite at the branch. You will balance cash, handle deposits and withdrawals, and identify opportunities to offer bank products while maintaining policy compliance.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of banking or customer service experience; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• 1 year of previous banking or customer service experience, preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Ability to learn and comply with all Bank policies, procedures, and systems.
• Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with written numbers, words, and verbal and written instructions.
• Consistently demonstrates ability and willingness to build relationships with clients and other bank associates.

Responsibilities

• Always performs teller transactions and cash handling functions for clients with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Accurately performs and supports daily tasks that maintain the integrity of the branch.
• Mitigate risk by ensuring safekeeping of money in cash drawer and prompt accounting or transfer of funds.
• Interacts with external and internal clients, anticipates needs, and provides proactive solutions and problem resolutions.
• Continuously deepens knowledge of Columbia Bank's product and service offerings.
• Discuss and uncover customer’s financial needs to identify and offer appropriate products and services.
• Supports referral goals for branch by focusing and identifying and referring basic bank products to the appropriate business partner.
