Job summary

Catholic Community Services seeks an Activities Assistant in Tacoma, WA to support clients at Nativity House with daily living activities and engaging, respectful recreation. You will help plan and deliver activities that promote dignity, independence, and community integration in a strengths-based approach.

You’ll work under supervision to ensure safety, accurate documentation, and culturally competent care, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to meet client goals and plans.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA/NAC/HCA certification and two years' experience with vulnerable populations.
• Must obtain Food Handler and First Aid/CPR within specified timelines.
• Background checks required before offer.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with mobility, ADLs, transportation, and daily living activities with dignity.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate recreational, social, and cultural activities.
• Maintain documentation and use client-centered language; ensure safety and de-escalation.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver consistent care.
