Staff Financial Group is seeking a detail-oriented Client Assistant for Commercial Insurance in Atlanta, GA. You will service and retain a book of business, acting as the main point of contact for clients and carriers, handling policy changes, certificates, claims, billing, and renewals.

The role requires experience with commercial coverages (GL, Property, Auto, Workers' Comp, Umbrella) and proficiency in Applied Epic.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license is required.
• 2–3+ years of commercial lines account management or CSR experience.
• Understanding of GL, Property, Auto, Workers' Comp, and Umbrella coverages.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Serve and retain a book of commercial accounts; act as main contact for clients and carriers.
• Process policy changes, endorsements, and issue Certificates of Insurance.
• Support renewals, submissions, and proposals for carriers; handle audits.
• Take first notice of loss calls and submit claims; follow up to resolution.
• Invoice and manage aging receivables; review premium audits.

Client Assistant - Commercial Insurance - Atlanta, GA

We're looking for a detail-oriented Commercial Lines Account Manager to service and retain a book of business at an independent insurance agency. You'll be the main point of contact for clients and carriers, handling everything from policy changes and certificates to claims, billing, and renewals. If you know Applied Epic and like being the person clients rely on, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Client Service & Account Management

• Manage a book of commercial accounts and answer client requests by email, mail, and phone
• Handle smaller accounts on your own from start to finish
• Communicate with clients and carriers promptly and professionally
• Review contracts and leases for insurance requirements

Policy Servicing

• Process change requests and endorsements
• Check new and renewal policies for accuracy, then deliver them to clients
• Issue Certificates of Insurance and Auto ID cards
• Enter applications and keep client files up to date in Applied Epic, following agency procedures and standards

Renewals & Marketing Support

• Assist with the renewal process from start to finish
• Prepare submissions, applications, and proposals for carriers
• Order loss runs and prepare Experience Mod worksheets
• Build spreadsheets for rate and premium reviews
• Write summaries of insurance for clients

Claims

• Take first notice of loss calls from clients and submit claims to carriers
• Confirm the carrier received each claim and assigned an adjuster
• Follow up with insureds and adjusters, and answer their questions until the claim is resolved

Billing & Audits

• Invoice agency-billed items and manage aged receivables for the book
• Review premium audits and help resolve audit disputes

Qualifications

Required

• Active Property & Casualty license
• [2-3+] years of commercial lines account management or CSR experience at an agency
• Understanding of commercial coverages such as GL, Property, Auto, Workers' Comp, and Umbrella
• Strong organization skills and the ability to handle many tasks with competing deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communication

Preferred

• CISR, CIC, or similar designation
• Experience with experience mods, premium audits, and contract risk transfer review
• Intermediate Excel skills
