Job description

Join to apply for the Client Advocate role at ABCD.

As a Client Advocate, you will handle direct case management services for clients currently at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line in Boston, Malden, Medford, and Everett. If you are detail-oriented and passionate about community development, we invite you to join our team at ABCD and make a meaningful impact in Greater Boston.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain case management files and provide supportive services and referrals.
  2. Conduct intake processes and assist clients in establishing educational and occupational goals.
  3. Develop positive relationships with organizations to expand placement efforts.
  4. Identify support services needed, make referrals, and orient clients to programs.
  5. Conduct workshops for diverse community populations.
  6. Assist clients with job applications, resumes, and follow-up with employers.
  7. Provide services for EITC tax preparation, food pantry, fuel assistance, SummerWorks, and Virtual Gateway services.
  8. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; up to one year of experience in case management or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is required.
