Job summary

CFO Associates is a rapidly growing CPA firm providing outsourced accounting, controller, and CFO services. As a Client Accounting Advisor, you will partner with multiple clients, focusing on Act 60 decree compliance and day-to-day accounting to deliver timely financial insights.

Hybrid in-office Mon-Tue in San Juan, PR, with remote days remaining, and a reliance on QuickBooks Online/Desktop, Bill.com, and Fathom.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of public accounting or similar role.
• Knowledge of Puerto Rico Act 60 incentives strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Experience with job and project accounting or property management systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks Online & Bill.com preferred.
• Hybrid work schedule in San Juan, PR.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key accounting contact for Act 60 decree holders, supporting reporting, audit, and annual report requirements
• Monitor and document client adherence to Act 60 decree conditions, including employment thresholds, investment requirements, and charitable contribution obligations
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations for assigned clients
• Process and oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and cash flow activity
• Prepare weekly, bi-weekly, and/or Month-End Financial Statements and Forecasts
• Reconcile General Ledger activity and ensure data accuracy
• Build and maintain client relationships through proactive, timely communication
• Analyze financial trends and flag opportunities for growth and efficiency
• Support job costing, budgeting, and project profitability reporting
• Assist in implementing automation tools and process improvements
• Work with software like QuickBooks Online/Desktop, Bill.com, and Fathom
