What's the job?
As a Client Account Manager at Legends Legal Marketing, you will serve as the primary strategic partner and point of contact for a portfolio of law firm clients across the country.
This is not simply a client service role, and it is not a social media management position.
Your primary responsibility is to build strong client relationships, understand each law firm’s business goals, interpret marketing performance data, and turn that information into clear strategies that help our clients grow.
You will work closely with our internal SEO, paid search, content, design, website, and digital marketing teams to make sure every client’s marketing strategy is moving in the right direction.
A great Account Manager at Legends does more than report numbers. You should be able to look at the data and understand the story behind it.
- Why did organic traffic increase?
- Where are the firm’s best leads coming from?
- Why are certain practice areas performing better than others?
- What opportunities are we missing?
- What should we test next?
- Your job is to connect those dots, communicate them clearly to the client, and work with our team to develop the next strategy.
Hours and time zone:
This job is full-time and can be done from anywhere in the world, however we do require you to keep U.S. hours (time zone of your choice).
What You'll Be Doing:
- Building strong, trusted relationships with clients and becoming their go-to marketing partner.
- Leading regular client strategy meetings via Zoom, including preparing for meetings, reviewing performance, discussing priorities, and identifying next steps.
- Learning each client’s business inside and out, including their practice areas, ideal clients, geographic markets, growth goals, intake process, competitive landscape, and priorities.
- Reviewing and interpreting marketing data across SEO, website traffic, Google Search Console, paid advertising, lead tracking, call tracking, and other marketing channels.
- Turning data into strategy. We are not looking for someone who simply reads numbers from a report. You should be able to identify trends, opportunities, problems, and actionable next steps based on what the data is telling us.
- Helping clients understand their marketing performance by translating complicated data into clear, conversational explanations.
- Developing ongoing marketing strategies based on client goals, lead quality, performance data, market trends, and opportunities identified by our team.
- Writing client-facing marketing content when needed, including blogs, social media captions, website copy, email content, and other digital marketing materials.
- Editing and reviewing content before it reaches the client or goes live.
- Reviewing content for grammar, spelling, tone, clarity, formatting, factual consistency, brand voice, calls to action, links, and overall quality.
- Maintaining each client’s brand voice and making sure content feels specific to that attorney and law firm rather than generic or interchangeable.
- Working closely with our SEO, content, paid search, design, and development teams to ensure client strategies are implemented effectively.
- Managing client expectations, questions, requests, approvals, and priorities while maintaining clear and proactive communication.
- Keeping projects moving forward by identifying roadblocks, following up when needed, coordinating internal resources, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Reviewing monthly reporting and performance updates before they are presented to clients and identifying the most important insights to discuss.
- Identifying opportunities for growth, whether that means expanding into a new geographic market, strengthening a practice area, improving conversion rates, testing a new advertising strategy, or changing direction based on results.
- Thinking proactively. We want our Account Managers bringing ideas to clients rather than waiting for clients to tell us what they need.
Qualifications:
We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience in a client-facing Account Management, Digital Marketing, or Marketing Strategy role, preferably within a digital marketing agency.
Experience working with law firms or other professional service businesses is a major plus.
Strong writing and editing skills are required for this position.
You should also be comfortable working remotely, managing multiple client relationships, leading meetings, interpreting data, reviewing marketing content, and working independently.
Our Ideal Candidate
- You are a relationship builder. Clients trust you because you communicate clearly, follow through, understand their businesses, and genuinely care about their success.
- You are strategic. You naturally ask, "Why is this happening?" and "What should we do next?"
- You are comfortable with data. You do not need to be a data scientist, but you should enjoy digging into reports, spotting trends, asking questions, and using information to make smarter marketing decisions.
- You can tell the story behind the numbers. You understand that reporting a traffic increase means very little unless you can explain where that growth came from, whether it produced qualified leads, and what we should do with that information.
- You are a strong writer and editor. You can write an engaging blog, create social media copy, review website content, and edit another writer’s work without needing someone else to catch the mistakes afterward.
- You have an exceptional eye for detail. You notice the broken link, incorrect attorney name, inconsistent statistic, awkward sentence, formatting issue, typo, or outdated information before the client does.
- You understand that good marketing content has a purpose. It should educate, build trust, support SEO, reflect the client’s voice, and ultimately help move the right potential client closer to taking action.
- You are comfortable editing for both quality and strategy, including readability, organization, SEO intent, internal linking opportunities, calls to action, brand consistency, and factual accuracy.
- You are a problem-solver. When something is not working, your instinct is to investigate, troubleshoot, collaborate, and develop a solution.
- You are proactive. You do not wait for someone to tell you every next step.
- You are organized. You can manage multiple clients, priorities, deadlines, meetings, and internal projects without letting details slip through the cracks.
- You are confident communicating with business owners and attorneys and are comfortable leading conversations, presenting recommendations, and occasionally having difficult conversations.
- You are adaptable. Digital marketing, SEO, paid search, AI search, social media, and consumer behavior are constantly changing. You are curious, willing to learn, and comfortable pivoting when the data tells us we should.
- You are collaborative. While you will own your client relationships, you will work closely with specialists across our agency and understand how to bring the right people into a conversation when needed.
- You are self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
